To promote home improvement, Home Centers offered children free blank kites to be decorated with what the children felt “America The Beautiful” signified. Kites were judged in-the-air. Former Miss America toured schools and media in cities across the U.S.

RESULTS: Highly successful with more than a million kites entered in contest and increased Home Center traffic.
